District 51 marching bands take the field at Stocker Oct. 19 for state qualifier

Grand Junction, CO – The Colorado Bandmasters State Qualifying Marching Band Festival will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Stocker Stadium. Field shows will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 3:45 p.m. The festival will conclude with a guest performance from the Colorado Mesa University Marching Stampede and an awards presentation.

Western Slope marching bands will perform for a panel of eight judges and an effort to earn their way to the CBA State Marching Band Festival, which will be October 27 and 28 at the U.S. Air Force Academy (Class 4A and 5A) and October 30 in Parker (Class 1A, 2A, and 3A).

Field show tickets can be purchased the day of the festival at the Stocker Stadium entrance gate. Prices are $10 for adults; $6 for students, active military, and seniors over 60. Children under 5 are free.

Because of the size of this festival, parking will be extremely limited at Lincoln Park all day, so please plan extra time to walk from a parking spot to the venue. The only parking available from the 12th Street entrance is parking for people with disabilities.
